Booking and payment
How do I book a room?
All our reservations are handled by CRM Students, our partners who handle our bookings and room reservations. When you click a book now button on the Urban Study website, you will be redirected to the CRM Student booking site where you can select and reserve a room online. You can pay via debit card, credit card or bank transfer.
What exactly is included in my rent?
The following services are covered by your rent: utilities (water, gas and electricity), 20Mb Hyperoptic broadband and Wi-fi as well as use of the communal facilities in your Urban Study building.
When should I book to ensure that I can secure a room?
As soon as possible! Demand is high for all our Urban Study apartments so we recommend that you move quickly to secure your room. You can guarantee your room booking by paying the booking deposit of £500 and returning your completed signed Licence Agreement.
What happens to my contract if I want to leave early or cancel?
If you want to leave before your contract ends, please let us know and we can help you find someone to take your room. However, once you have paid the booking deposit and handed in your signed Licence Agreement, you are legally bound and liable for the room's rent and it is ultimately your responsibility to find someone to take over the remaining time left on your contract. If there is nobody to take the room from you, you will need to pay the agreed rental fees as well as forfeiting your booking deposit. Please contact your Urban Study Building Manager for more details.
What is the length of my tenancy?
Our Licence Agreements contract you for a 50 week occupancy as standard.

Of course! We can arrange for you to pay your rent in three instalments as opposed to an upfront lump sum. To pay in instalments, it is necessary to have a rental guarantor. Click here to find out what a guarantor is and what the related requirements of them are. If you need help finding a guarantor visit Housing Hand who provide specialist assistance to international students.
What if I have a problem in paying my rent?
